Bumble.com

If you are a single woman, we have no doubt you’ve heard of bumble.com. It is the platform that is focused on shifting the antiquated dynamics of dating and handing the power of choice back to women. The main way this is done is by changing the communication rules so that the woman must like a profile before the profile owner can message them and also be the one to initiate (and unlock) the conversation).

Many women seem to love Bumble.com, but we wanted to know if they are using this one feature as a novelty that lets them ignore other features. If this feature isn’t adding to the app, like for lesbians, does the rest of the app stand up?

Today, we are taking a look at every aspect of Bumble to see if it is truly worth a download. Additionally, we’re going to take a look at whether or not the app is good for men. If you’re ready, let’s buzz right into our Bumble reviews.

Best Alternatives to Bumble

Maybe you’re not sure about Bumble? Or you want to try something a little more mainstream? Are you a female who doesn’t want the burden of having to always make the first move? Are you a man who wants to be able to reach out to the women you’re interested in?

If you answered yes to any of these questions Bumble is probably not right for you, and that’s okay! Here are some amazing dating app options you should consider checking out. Oh, and they all come with free trials, so hooray to that!

Is Bumble good for women?

Bumble.com was designed with women in mind. So, for the most part, yes, the Bumble dating app is good for women. But one caveat is that if you're a woman who doesn't want to always make the first move and send the first message, this might not work. Ultimately, it depends on your preference.

Is Bumble.com good for men?

In our opinion, both yes and no. Yes, because this app is known to attract more quality women who are looking for something more serious. However, there are some potential problems. First, you won't be able to send the first message. So imagine matching with an amazing woman only to see the match end after 24 hours because she didn't get the first message in time.

Second, you may run into jaded women on Bumble because they have a problem with men. It will definitely be a minority, but it's something to be aware of.

Is Bumble good for LGBTQ+ people?

The Bumble platform now allows same-sex matches with no rules about who can message first. While it's great for the community, it's now becoming a "regular" dating app for you. So you can still find matches, but you don't really get the uniqueness of the platform.

Is Bumble.com membership worth it?

If you've read this section of our Bumble review and think the app sounds like a great fit, there's a very good chance it is. We believe there is real value in paying for advanced membership. But if you're new to the dating app, we recommend signing up for a free subscription first. By claiming Bumble's free trial, you can try the app for free without even opening your wallet.

How The Bumble.com Matchmaking Process

Bumble follows a swipe-style matchmaking process. Users swipe to indicate interest in other members. When there is a mutual match, both members are notified! This is where things get different, though. Instead of immediately opening up a conversation, Bumble gives the woman 24 hours to initiate a conversation. If she doesn’t send anything in that time frame, the match goes away and no one can send a message unless they match again. The men are NOT able to initiate the conversation.

There are additional features and boost-type features that can be used to enhance the experience. We break those down further down in our Bumble review (features section).

What is Bumble.com BFF?

Bumble BFF is a variation of Bumble Date that is focused solely on helping people make new friends. The matching process is quite similar but the intent of the users is just to make friends.

What is Bumble Bizz?

Also following the same matching process, Bumble Bizz is more about connecting people looking to network professionally. While these matches could lead to friendships or romantic interests, the intent is to connect people for business and professional purposes. Both Bumble Bizz and Bumble BFF come with the standard Bumble Date.

  • Very hard to navigate and lots of hidden fee. Upgrade to this… More money, upgrade to that … More money. By the time your done, you can’t afford to go on a date.

  • I have tried to unsubscribe on their web site and written several unsubscribe e-mails, but they will just not let you off the hook. These people are real scammers, so unless you want to see €10 disappear from your account every month, don’t get in because you will not be able to get out, unless you block your credit card!

  • When I report them to Bumble, they just leave them up. I spoke with one man who had been scammed over and over. Sad.

  • Most matches light years away in terms of distance, mostly no photos and the usual scammers who only want to talk via gmail.

  • Compared to other dating sites this one seemed better. The quality of people were better. The dating sites are like a meat market. My over all experience was good

  • This is a great way to find and meet people that are looking for a relationship in your area. If it worked for me living in a very remote rural area it can definitely work for anyone.

  • Good to meet different people on here would say its more suitable for people that live in big cites but have made some great friends on here

  • The ladies I have talked to have been so polite and social. I enjoy it and I have a good memery.

  • I have been joined for about a month. I think it is a good site so far. There are many beautiful women there at different ages, good.

  • I want to thank this site. We are really happy and starting a family. I recommend the site you will find the right one for you.

  • Was a great experience and I found a woman who I was compatible with and really connected with…. The platform was a good exercise so I thank for that.

  • DONT GIVE MONEY. Fake views lead you on into buying a subscription and add ons, so that you can message others and they can message you.
